On Saturday, the Food and Drug Administration stated that only 1% of the iron supplement injections were returned from the market. The batch recalled by the agency consisted of 37,000 vials of iron supplement.

The officials from the agency added that only 467 vials have been received so far. They noted that they have appealed to wholesalers, retailers, and hospitals to return drug stock without selling or using it.

Additionally, they have issued another order directing Emcure Pharmaceuticals to recall Orofer FCM Injection from the market.
